Overview

Michael Mallano

Michael is an attorney specializing in jury trials, arbitration hearings, and mediations.  He was a Deputy District Attorney for nearly 32 years. Michael did his first jury trial while still in law school as a certified law clerk with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.  

Michael has done over a hundred court and jury trials.  He has completed 26 murder jury trials while a member of the Compton Hardcore Gang Unit.  He totaled 78 total jury trials while with the District Attorney’s Office. He also served in management, teaching others how to conduct effective court and jury trials. He is one of the few Deputy District Attorneys to conduct a civil trial which was an asset forfeiture case.   

Michael graduated with a BS in Psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1988.  He graduated from Southwestern School of Law in 1991 as a 24-year-old. He immediately took and passed the California Bar, where he has practiced ever since. Since leaving the District Attorney’s Office, he has been primarily focused on employment law, specializing in preparation for contested matters such as jury trials, arbitrations, and the like.
