Current Cases

The Ottinger Firm is an innovative commercial litigation firm. Here are some of the current cases we are handling:

(The following clients have agreed to share some information about their cases.)
inventorship dispute

We represent an engineer who invented a new way for heart specialists to deliver a stent (a device that opens blocked arteries) through the cardiovascular system. The inventor's employer sold the device to another company for a large sum. The inventor was not compensated. We represent the inventor in a claim for his share of the value of the invention.

shantaram

Shantaram is a best-selling novel based on the life of notorious Australian crime figure Gregory Roberts. Roberts escaped prison and reinvented himself as a doctor in the slums of Bombay, where he later became involved with the Indian underworld. Our client helped Mr. Roberts sell his novel to a major film studio for several million dollars. Our client was not paid for all the work she performed. An attachment was secured against Mr. Roberts' property in the U.S. and we are in the process of recovering all money owed.

webhost merger

We represent one of the leading internet hosting companies in a dispute that arose in its bid to acquire a rival hosting company. This case is being conducted before the American Arbitration Association in an attempt to recoup losses our client sustained.
