Fee Arrangements
Alternate Fee Arrangements:
Approximately 50 percent of our cases are handled on an alternate fee basis and the other 50 percent of our cases are handled on an hourly basis. The basic alternate fee arrangements are explained below.
- Contingent Fee
Under a contingent fee arrangement, the client does not pay the firm for its legal services. The firm is paid a percentage of what is recovered for the client. The percentage varies in each case based upon the risk involved. If nothing is recovered, the firm does not get paid.
Fixed Fee
The firm charges the same agreed upon fee each month, no matter how much work the firm does on the case. This gives the client a steady predictable budget.
Hybrid Fee
This is a blend between the contingent fee and hourly fee. We will reduce our hourly rate in exchange for a percentage of the recovery.
Hourly Fee Arrangements:
The firm charges the client by the hour for work performed on the case. The client receives a bill each month that details the work performed and the rates charged by the firm. The rates are agreed upon in advance.
