Employer's Responsibilities

Covered employers must post a notice, approved by the Secretary of Labor, explaining the rights and responsibilities under the FMLA. Also, covered employers must inform employees of their rights and responsibilities under the FMLA, including providing the employee with specific written information on the employee's duties and the consequences of certain situations, e.g., if the employee fails to return to work after FMLA leave.
