Sexual Stereotyping
Women and men must be held to the same behavioral standards at the workplace. For example, consider the situation in which a female employee is denied partnership by male partners who describe her as "authoritarian," and "macho," suggest that she take a course at charm school, and advise her to improve her chances for partnership by acting more feminine, wearing jewelry and makeup, etc. This is illegal sexual stereotyping, as the woman is being held to different behavioral standards to achieve partnership than the man.
